Important
Thank you for signing Student Planners. Please continue.
Mark your calendars for our Oct. 7-9 overnight field trip at Marin Headlands! More info to come soon. Please let me know as soon as possible if you have concerns about your child attending because we have to pay ahead of time. Please help us fundraise.
Don't forget to sign up online to see student grades. Directions were distributed at Back To School Night or with your student. Feel free to stop by before or after school and we can get you signed up here.
New
We are starting Bud, Not Buddy this week. It's a great novel set during the Great Depression. Students will be reading chapters at home. Ask your student to describe Bud to you.
Our first week of spelling has begun. Quiz on Friday!
8th graders begin Spanish with Yakshi on Wednesday. 6th and 7th graders will do Spanish on the Duolingo app for the first trimester and then work with Yakshi for one trimester each.
Update and Info
Our class explored non-fiction articles this week for reading. We also wrote paragraphs about our mask project, set up email accounts, discussed service learning, watched and wrote about CNN student news, became acquainted with our social studies books, learned about landforms, played collaborative games in PE and read the first chapter for our book unit! And we learned to juggle. We've been busy!
Thank you for all volunteer forms. I will be in touch soon.

We are doing our first fundraiser this week which is how we will be earning money for our field trip. Please help your student fill out the booklet of postcards as we earn money simply for returning full booklets. The adressees will then receive magazine orders and online shopping opportunities that can help us earn more funds.

Upcoming Dates
Monday, September 7th is Labor Day. No School.
Next Wednesday, September 9th is a minimum day for staff inservice. School will be released at 12:45
